Southshore at Aurora

Aurora, CO

Southshore is a master-planned community with approximately 1,960 homes, showcasing the designs of builders ranging from Century Communities to Toll Brothers and Richmond American Homes.  The marketing strategies earned several GOLD AWARDS from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) during the 2017 International Builders Show.

Southshore is home to the award-winning Cherry Creek School - Altitude Elementary, two community centers with pools, gyms, kitchens and gathering spaces, activity lawns, fire pits, plus miles of trails and 120 acres of public open space.

Collectively, this welcoming community where people play, live, and work is situated on the south shore of the Aurora Reservoir, 820 acres of water with its own set of recreational opportunities and attractions.

When the community was rebranded in 2016 with “Life at the Lake” as it’s pivotal trademark, it made “every day a vacation day.” Marketing efforts centered around the community’s view of and easy near exclusive access to the reservoir and surrounds – a natural habitat for avian, amphibian, fish and prairie wildlife.

“There’s something about this vast expanse of blue that soothes the soul and sparks the imagination. What will it be today? A morning run around the lake? Will you wet your fishing line for the sole purpose of freeing your mind? Or, will the wind fill your sails and take you away?

The real beauty of Southshore is that you’re close to everything you need. But the moment you turn onto Southshore Parkway, it’s just you and the great big, blue lake. Serenity washes over you, along with a feeling of gratitude that you’ve arrived. It’s easy to forget the city behind you.

Remember this: Life at the Lake may be as simple as a deep breath of crisp-off-the-water fresh air to start your day. Or, maybe it’s the soul-expanding vista that welcomes you home. Depending on the day, life at the lake can be many things. But for you, it’s always home.”
